The focal point of the image is that portrait of Borges, an elderly man with frayed gray hair. Borges is staring off in the distance seemingly focused on some significant sight. Above Borges sits a very dark ominous cloud. The cloud, which starts in the upper left corner of the image, is curling down towards the lower right portion of the image, directly above Borges. The cloud provides a very surreal feeling to the image. It suggests to the viewer that Borges gaze is focused on something even more ominous in the distance. However, what it is that Borges is focused on is up to the viewer.ù
